ART INTEGRATED CURRICULUM
Allowing the Arts into our schools gives the students a place to create, have the freedom to certain extents, play and have fun alone and with others, be themselves, and not worry about being judged or assessed on constant formulas, memorization, and testing. The Arts bring freedom of expression not only to the artist but also to a group. In many cases, without a group, some art would never exist, for example drama, dance, and music. Art provides a form of communication without having to speak verbally. Art has power through image, movement, or sound, which plays a huge part in forming our identity, relationships, ideals, and social skills. Multiple articles in this research project have shown studies that have demonstrated the impact that the Arts have had on elementary students through high school. Those analyses have given an indication of students displaying greater confidence in their own identities, character, responsibility, retention, adaptability, relationships, and communication skills
